Primo attacco.

Come tutti gli inverni,  a novembre mettiamo fuori le casette per gli uccellini stanziali con tanti semi di girasole,  palle di grasso e nocciole per agevolare la loro sopravvivenza nei mesi freddi e per godere della loro vispa compagnia.  A volte viene anche qualche scoiattolo,  come gia’ avete visto scorrendo il mio blog.

Il guaio e’ che a volte viene anche qualche rapace,  nella fattispecie lo Sparviero,  perche’ vede dall’alto un assembramento di animaletti e…anche lui deve mangiare.  A inizio dicembre ha sferrato il primo attacco che sono riuscita a vedere.

Ho filmato l’attacco solo in parte,  poiche’ e’ fallito ed il rapace se n’e’ andato subito.  Ma vi propongo il breve video,  cosi’ vedete questo bellissimo esemplare. 

CURIOSITA’:   Anche la gran parte degli uccelli rapaci migrano dal freddo nord in inverno,  ma qualcuno decide sempre di restare,  convinto che trovera’ cibo per tutta la stagione.  Molti Sparvieri lo fanno.

First Attack.

Every winter,  starting from November,  we install our birdhouses for sedentary birds with lots of sunflower seeds,  suet balls and nuts to help them survive in the cold months and to enjoy their lively company.  Sometimes a few squirrels also come,  as you have already seen scrolling through my blog.

The trouble is that sometimes some birds of prey also come,  in this case the Sparrowhawk,  because it sees a crowd of small animals from above and… it must survive too.

In early December it launched the first attack that I was able to see.  I only partially filmed it,  as the attack failed and the raptor left immediately.  But I offer you the short video,  so you can see this beautiful specimen.

A FUN FACT:   Most birds of prey migrate from the cold north in winter,  but some always decide to stay,  convinced that they will find food for the whole season.  Many Sparrow Hawks do this.
