La piccola cittadina di Inkoo si trova nell’estremo sud Finlandia,  nella zona costiera che i finlandesi chiamano “l’Arcipelago”,  essendo composta da migliaia di isolette ed isolotti in parte disabitati.  Inkoo pero’ si trova sulla terraferma,  si affaccia dunque sul Golfo di Finlandia ad un’ora di strada da Helsinki,  praticamente di fronte a Tallinn.

Inkoo conta circa 6000 abitanti,  che risiedono in parte sulle isolette.  E’ una cittadina di mare che in estate accoglie molti turisti grazie alle molte possibilita’ che vi si trovano.  Non solo mare e gite in barca alle isole piu’ interessanti,  ma anche passeggiate a cavallo,  musei storiografici,  escursioni nei boschi e riserve protette;  a Inkoo si fa il bagno non solo nel mare ma anche nei laghi e le spiagge selvagge sono sempre curate durante la stagione estiva.  Non ultima,  l’offerta gastronomica per assaggiare piatti tipici della zona,  non solo a base di pesce.

Essendo una localita’ turistica,  a Inkoo non mancano i negozi e gli atelier artistici.

The small town of Inkoo is located in the far south of Finland,  in the coastal area that the Finns call “the Archipelago”,  being made up of thousands of islands and islets partly uninhabited.  However,  Inkoo is located on the mainland,  therefore it overlooks the Gulf of Finland an hour’s drive from Helsinki,  opposite of Tallinn.

Inkoo has about 6000 inhabitants,  who partly live on the islets.  It is a seaside town that welcomes many tourists in the summer thanks to the many possibilities that are found there.  Not only sea and boat trips to the most interesting islands,  but also horseback riding,  museums about local history,  excursions in the woods and protected reserves;  in Inkoo you can swim not only in the sea but also in the lakes and the wild beaches are always maintained clean during the summer season.  Last but not least,  the rich variety of small restaurants to taste typical dishes of the area,  not only based on fish.

Being a tourist site,  in Inkoo art galleries and gift shops cannot be missing.

  26. Ich war sehr gerne in Finnland und habe auch eine Radtour gemacht.
    Aber auf der anderen Seite Richtung Schweden.
    Das einzige was ich nicht mochte waren die Mücken *lol*
