Caprioli al mare.

(English version below)DSCN3749DSCN3748Il giorno 5 marzo scorso,  trovandoci a Salo,  ci siamo fermati a dare un’occhiata al golfo di Halikon Lahti,  che e’ un vasto braccio di mare nel quale si puo’ ammirare tanta fauna selvatica,  specie nelle stagioni intermedie quando gli uccelli migratori si fermano per rifocillarsi,  in arrivo o in partenza.  Con tanto di torri di avvistamento.

Quel giorno pero’,  essendo ancora pieno inverno ed essendo il mare ancora ben gelato,  non c’erano altro che tre caprioli,   i quali erano letteralmente seduti in mezzo al mare, in pieno sole.

Non e’ certo un comportamento consueto:  in inverno i caprioli se ne stanno al riparo nel fitto del bosco;  chissa’ che cosa aveva ispirato questi tre…

Roe-Deer at the Seaside.

Last March 5th we were in Salo and we stopped to take a look at Halikon Lahti gulf,  which is a vast strait where you can admire a lot of wildlife,  especially in the intermediate seasons when migratory birds stop for refreshment,  on arrival or departure.  There are also a few wooden towers for birdwatchers.

But that day,  being still full winter and the sea still frozen,  there were only three Roe-deer,  who were literally sitting in the middle of the sea,  in the full sun.

It is certainly not a usual behavior:  in winter Roe-deer keep themselves in the thick of the woodlands;  who knows what inspired these three…
