Dopo la tempesta Valtteri,  che ha lasciato sul terreno una quarantina di cm di neve,  ci siamo inoltrati nel bosco con le ciaspole:  era l’unico mezzo per poter camminare senza affondare.   Naturalmente abbiamo anche dovuto farci strada tra i rami che appesantiti dalla neve ostruivano il passaggio…un po’ come gli esploratori delle foreste pluviali che si fanno strada col machete. 😉

Immaginate quanto e’ piu’ difficile adesso per gli animali del bosco andare in cerca di cibo.dopoVXX (4)dopoVXX (5)

E’ stato molto bello camminare nel bosco di panna montata,  o come l’ha definita il Helsingin Sanomat:  “nel bosco di popcorn”.

After Valtteri.

After the snowstorm Valtteri,  we went for a walk in the forest wearing snowshoes.  It was the only way to manage without sinking into 40cm new snow.  Of course we had to make out way among the tree branches full of heavy snow…more or less like explorers do in the rainforest:  they make their way using machete.  😉

Now it is much more difficult for all the animals who live in the woodlands to move and find food.

It was just like walking into whipped cream or – as the Helsingin Sanomat said:  “in the popcorn woodland”.

At the end of the day a colourful sunset delighted us.
