Partiti nel primo pomeriggio, perche’ al mattino la temperatura era ancora proibitiva, i nostri eroi una volta giunti alla pista si trovarono davanti questo spettacolo, gentilmente offerto dall’inverno finlandese…
Lo sci piu’ praticato in Finlandia e’ lo sci da fondo. Uno sport sano, particolarmente in questo momento: non essendoci bisogno di prendere skilift per recarsi sulle piste non si creano assembramenti, anche perche’ in tutto il Paese non abbiamo grandi alture. Soprattutto nella regione nord del Paese, la Lapponia, si trovano delle vere e proprie montagne che offrono la possibilita’ di praticare anche lo sci alpino. Ad esempio localita’ come Ruka o Levi sono completamente attrezzate in questo senso. Levi e’ nel circuito della Coppa del Mondo.

The most popular ski in Finland is cross-country skiing. A healthy sport, particularly in this moment: since there is no need to take ski lifts to reach the slopes, there are no crowds, also because we do not have many fells throughout the country. While in the northern region of the country, Lapland, there are real mountains that offer the possibility of practicing alpine skiing as well. For example places like Ruka or Levi are fully equipped for it. Levi is on the World Cup circuit.
