Il post di oggi è senz’altro dedicato alle amiche food-bloggers! 

Vorrei mostrarvi come vengono venduti alcuni tipi di verdure in foglia nei supermarket finlandesi.  Di solito le verdure prodotte sul territorio locale,  al super le trovate proprio così:  piantine ancora nella loro terra. 

Fanno eccezione alcuni tipi di insalata che si trovano solo in cespi ed esistono anche le buste con insalate miste già lavate,  come da noi,  naturalmente.  Anche le erbe aromatiche vengono vendute in questa modalità:  come il prezzemolo nella foto sopra e poi menta,  basilico,  timo,  rosmarino,  maggiorana…

In estate però chi appena può ed ha un minimo di passione si coltiva verdure fresche nel proprio orto.

Ed ecco una mia insalata estiva:  lattuga,  mirtilli e prugne! 

 

Lettuce at the Markets.         

This post is entirely dedicated to my food-blogger friends!

Today I would like to show you how locally produced lettuce and mostly green vegetables are sold in the markets in Finland.  You find them in a small plastic container with their own piece of earth – the exception to this practice is a few types of lettuce which are sold as heads. 

Potherbs are sold in the same mode:  parsley (as in the photo above),  rosmary,  thyme,  basil,  marjoram…  Ready lettuce bags are also available,  of course.

Anyway,  whoever has possibility and time will grow his own fresh lettuce and herbs in his own vegetable yard in summer.

  2. Ottimo! Quanto vorrei trovarle cosi anche qui! Purtroppo le trovo solo nel sacchetto e dura 1-2 giorni 😣 riesco a coltivare un po’ di piantine a casa ma non basta per una che mangia l’insalata tutti i giorni 🤪

  16. We’ve just sown another batch of mixed lettuce for Summer salads although it’s not very Summery weather at the moment, being cold and wet. We’ve also sown herbs although sometimes my husband buys a pot of basil which is available in the Winter months at the supermarket and divides the plant to make more.

  25. La tua insalata è molto invitante!
    L’insalata e le aromatiche vendute con radici annesse sono molto particolari; io le trovo così nei vivai solo per poi piantarle nell’orto di casa… paese che vai…!
