Tra Italia e Finlandia

Lo scorso 4 maggio abbiamo avuto la possibilità di muoverci un po’ più liberamente dopo il lockdown,  qui in Veneto.  E dove potevo andare io?…  Naturalmente in campagna!  Ecco quel che ho visto:  la natura che segue il suo corso,  con gli alberi carichi di foglie nuove e verdissime e gli animali che si godono la bella stagione.  Che sia un augurio di ripartenza per tutti!

La bella Egeria  (Pararge aegeria)  sta voluttuosamente a crogiolarsi al sole sopra una foglia …

Un’altra farfalla,  molto più piccolina,  si abbuffa di nettare nel bianco fiore del Filadelfo  (Philadelphus) ...

Nei fossi gli iris d’acqua (Iris pseudacorus) sono frastornati dai voli degli insetti acquatici…

E le ranocchie cantano…oh,  se cantano!

Mentre sopra le nostre teste danzano letteralmente le rondini,  i papaveri aggiungono un tocco di allure a tutto il paesaggio circostante con i loro sprazzi di rosso vivo.  Nella loro semplicità sono incantevoli.

First time out.

Last May 4th was the first day when we could move out of our homes after the lockdown declared on March 11th – at least in my region:  Veneto.  Where on earth would I go?  Of course to the countryside!  I took a walk and here’s what I saw:  trees were full of fresh new,  gorgeous,  green leaves and animals were enjoying the good season.   May it be a good new start for all!

The beautiful Speckled wood butterfly  (Pararge aegeria) is basking in the sunlight on a large leaf…

While another cute and small butterfly is sucking nectar from a white Mock orange flower  (Philadelphus)…

Along the ditches the Yellow irises  (Iris pseudacorus) are dazed by the many water insects flying around…

Frogs are chanting aloud and noisily…

In all this,  poppies give wonderful splashes of red to the landscape.  In their simplicity,  they are alluring and charming.
