Midsummer sunset.
Hello desr friends and welcome to the land of the nights without night…(in summer). The Finnish phrase: Yöton yö cleverly expresses this idea. In this moment of the year, night does not fall at all in Scandinavia. How long this phenomenon persists depends on your latitude: in the very north for one month now the sun will not go below the horizon, so you can do many daytime activities and “night” is just an abstract concept. In Somero the sun sets at about 11.30 p.m., but a long twilight just connects today’s eve to tomorrow’s dawn.
Therefore we must be happy just with picturesque sunsets, just like this one in my shots.
