2019maggioUn mese nelle mie foto:

Maggio e’ iniziato col botto sia in Italia che in Finlandia:  l’improvvisa discesa di venti molto freddi da nord ha portato temperature piu’ basse della media e maltempo a ripetizione.  In Finlandia e’ durato poco:  alcuni giorni di pioggia mista a neve e poi e’ tornato il tempo stabile.  Addirittura a metà mese abbiamo avuto temperature estive:  23-25 gradi e splendide giornate senza nubi!  Naturalmente ne abbiamo approfittato per piantare le patate e seminare insalata,  rucola,  aneto,  spinaci…

In Italia ha picchiato piu’ duro:  neve in montagna fino a quote basse,  freddo e piogge persistenti – persino il Garda ha tracimato in qualche punto.  Senza contare che la stagione turistica,  per noi vitale,  non è ancora decollata.

 

Ora vi propongo 4 eventi in svolgimento ad inizio giugno in Finlandia e in Italia:

—il primo e’ una curiosita’ per gli amici finlandesi che mi leggono e per gli italiani presenti in Finlandia:  nei giorni 1 e 2 giugno prossimi a Helsinki avra’ luogo il primo festival “Little Italy”!

—Il secondo e’ la 7ma edizione di: “Trame sonore”,  il festival di musica da camera che si tiene nella dolce Mantova.  Ecco il link e il programma:  http://www.mantovachamber.com/

A month in my photos:

The weather at the start of May was awful both in Italy and in Finland.  In Finland we had a few days of cold wind and rain/snow,  but on the whole it was not so far from the usual average temperatures and conditions. Then,  at mid-month,  a rush of summer came:  sunny warm days and temperatures around 23-25C!  Of course we took the chance to plant potatoes and sow lettuce,  spinach,  dill and rucola in our vegetable yard!

In Italy it was much worse and lasted for longer time:  we had cold wind from north and a lot of rain;  even lake Garda overflew in some places.   Moreover,  the tourist season has not fully started yet and for us it is top important.

—A funny event for my Finnish readers and for all italians who are in this country in this moment:  on June 1st and 2nd in Helsinki a new event is taking place:  the first “Little Italy Festival”!  The venue is the former abattoir Teurastamo;  there will be live music,  shows and art installations.  Of course a lot of food will be available:  not only street-food vans but also pop-up restaurants will display italian specialities.  As you can read in this link:   https://www.littleitalyfinland.com/
