Lux Helsinki. (part 2)

Continuiamo il percorso lungo il gradevolissimo festival di luci Lux Helsinki e scopriamo altre installazioni interessanti:  questa e’ dell’artista italiano Marco Brianza e si intitola:  Moonlight.  Il messaggio lanciato dall’artista e’ il seguente:  smettiamola di guardare gli schermi fatti di pixels e guardiamo di piu’ chi abbiamo vicino!

Come dicevo,  la risposta del pubblico è stata molto soddisfacente,  se ne ha un’idea in questa foto in cui parecchie persone ammirano l’installazione Lantern Park,  un esempio di progetto d’arte collettiva realizzato da artisti, ma anche gente comune,  studenti,  bambini… presso la bella Villa Hakasalmi.

La terza installazione di oggi,  dall’effetto leggermente ipnotico,   si intitola:  Large Pendulum Wave ed e’ presentata dall’olandese Ivo Schoofs.  Il significato dell’opera lo troviamo nelle parole stesse dell’artista:  “Tutta la vita sulla Terra e’ basata sul movimento e cio’ ha del miracoloso”.  Anche qui ho realizzato un breve video:

Lux Helsinki.  (part 2)      

In this post we will continue our tour through the light installations of the Lux Helsinki festival.  The first one in the mosaic above is by Italian artist Marco Brianza;  the title is Moonlight and the message conveyed is the following:  stop staring at the screens all the time and relate to one another!

In the next shot:  many spectators are admiring the installation Lantern Park,  a collective art project where lanterns are contributed by artists as well as students,  children and common people.  The location is the beautiful Villa Hakasalmi.  As I said,  the show was much appreciated.

Today’s third artwork is by Dutch artist Ivo Schoofs;  the title is Large Pendulum Wave and its meaning lies in the artist’s words themselves:  ” All life on earth is based on miraculous movement”.  Also this artwork is best appreciated in the form of video – enjoy it!

I hope you have liked these series of artworks as much as I liked them!  I am quite a visual person,  I am fond of images and imagination…and that evening I was so happy to see them.

  18. Dear Sara, what a coincidence… you published the moon and I Moonlight! 🙂 This was actually the largest installation we saw, hanging on one side of the Musiikkitalo. Grazie mille a te e felice weekend!

  31. Beautiful moon views! My favorite though is the second capture – this night is cheerful and cozy. Tried out the video but did not work (maybe because there’s heavy rain today, effecting internet connection). Even so, lovely post and contribution for All Seasons! Have abeuatiful week!
