Natale a Merano.

I mercatini di Natale,  con quelle suggestive bancarelle,   ormai sono diffusi in tutta Europa;  in Finlandia non siamo da meno:  questi festosi ritrovi vengono organizzati in molte località,  più o meno in grande stile.  Oggi andiamo però nel nostro territorio dell’Alto Adige e più precisamente a Merano,  cittadina conosciutissima e di storica tradizione turistica.  Nelle mie foto qualche scorcio del grazioso centro e della passeggiata lungo il fiume Passirio,  dove si svolge il mercatino ogni anno.

Le montagne innevate sono lo sfondo ideale per la scenografia natalizia…

Le molte bancarelle,  cariche di possibilità per il piccolo shopping natalizio e il maestoso edificio della Kurhaus:  il fastoso centro convegni,  ricevimenti e concerti…

Gli addobbi sono dappertutto:  gli alberi spogli si prestano benissimo  …

Christmas in Merano.        

Christmas markets with their picturesque stalls are nowadays widespread all over Europe:  the tradition is very popular everywhere.  In Finland for instance,  where many towns,  big or small,  organize these festive events.  Today,  though,  I’ll take you to the very north of Italy,  in the region Alto-Adige and in the town of Merano,  precisely.  Merano is a small but charming town with a long tradition of tourism and hospitality;  in my photos,  some views of the elegant promenade along the Passirio river,  where the market takes place every year.

The snowy mountain tops are the ideal background for a Christmas scenery… The Kurhaus building,  a stylish venue for congresses,  concerts and social gatherings overlooks the many stalls with infinite possibilities for the small Christmas shopping…

The Holy Spirit Church,  in gothic style,  stands beyond the river…

Finally:  decorations everywhere and your blogger and her husband…of course having a refreshment!

  5. What a beautiful post Luisella. Merano seems to be a postcard town surrounded with those gorgeous mountains. No such views in Helsinki Senate Square, maybe I’ll have the courage to go there (with crunches :)))

  31. Quando ho letto il tuo commento sul mio blog stamattina ho pensato come sarebbe bello vedere una tua foto ❣️ Mi fa piacere vedere te e tuo marito. Anche le montagne con la neve sono piacevoli a guardare ⛄️ e la scultura sopra il tetto di quell’edificio magnifico mi pare affascinante. Prima sembra una corona ma poi si vede meglio.   34. Ti diro’ Rita che io cambio spesso taglio di capelli e anche colore…quindi mi vedrai in molte salse. Ti diro’ anche che non sono affatto fotogenica e quindi mi vedrai raramente. Grazie per l’apprezzamento: sono posti magnifici. Buona settimana di cuore !
