Tra Italia e Finlandia

Come abbiamo sentito piu’ volte dai media,  la Finlandia e’ nei primi posti delle classifiche mondiali per liberta’ di stampa.  L’ente che ricerca questi dati e’ Reporters senza Frontiere,  ecco il loro link e la classifica che hanno stilato per il 2018:   rsf.org/en/ranking

Nelle mie foto,  alcuni esempi di satira politica tratti dal Helsingin Sanomat,  il quotidiano a maggior diffusione nel Paese.  La satira,  costruttiva,  non deve risparmiare nessuno.

Il titolo vuol dire:  il presidente di tutto il mondo.

Il titolo significa:  la banderuola della Casa bianca.

Ovviamente qualche volta la satira colpisce anche noi…ecco qualche vignetta eloquente sulle vicende politiche italiane passate e presenti.

Una vignetta,  decisamente azzeccata,  su come i finlandesi vedevano l’Italia ai tempi del governo Berlusconi;  il titolo e’:  il sultanato di Silvio.

Questa satira ha colpito in occasione delle recenti elezioni politiche del 4 marzo:  la situazione in Italia non e’ chiara,  dice il titolo.

Voglio chiarire che i finlandesi hanno un’ammirazione sperticata per tutto quello che è italiano:  dalla cucina,  alla moda,  al design d’autore,  all’ arte e vengono volentieri in vacanza nel nostra Paese…ma certo vedono anche i nostri difetti!

Qui l’oggetto e’ una vicenda interna:  l’attuale primo ministro Sipilä che dovrebbe approvare in fretta la nuova legge sugli orari di lavoro.

In quest’ultima vignetta piu’ che satira si tratta della cruda realta’…il titolo e’:  il mare non puo’ diventare una discarica.

Spero che nessuno si sia sentito offeso da queste vignette,  ma secondo me la libertà di pensiero e di espressione sono alla base della società civile.  La satira fa bene alla politica ed e’ segno di apertura mentale,  democrazia e tolleranza.

Press Freedom.   

We have heard many times in the media that Finland ranks always very high in the world Press Freedom Index.   Here below the link to Reporters without Borders,  who keeps the ranks updated:  rsf.org/en/ranking.

In my photos a few examples from the Helsingin Sanomat,  the major newspaper in Finland.  Of course press freedom and political satire have to be equal to everybody and everything.  In the first drawing:  the president of all world.

Then a pun between the month of April and the word “ill”.

In the third the title is:  the weathervane of the White House.

Finnish reporters of course will keep a critical eye onto Italian politics as well;  the vignette says:  pasta catastrophe with debt sauce.

The title of the next drawing is quite realistic:  Silvio’s sultanate,  referring to the years of the Berlusconi government.

And again about Italy:  last March 4th we had elections and according to the HS:  the situation is not very clear in Italy.  The Finns admire a lot of Italian produce:  art,  cuisine,  fashion,  design;  they like to visit Italy for their holidays…this must be clear;  but of course they see very well our flaws too!

In this sketch,  the object of satire is the Finnish Prime Minister Sipilä,  who should approve the new law on working times. 

I hope not to have offended anybody,  by publishing these strips.  In my opinion freedom of thought,  of expression,  are fundamental for civilization.  Satire makes good to politics and is a sign of democracy,  mental openness and tolerance.

The final vignette criticizes the pollution of the seas:  sea cannot become a dump.
