La Finlandia fa parte della UE dal 1994 e dell’area Euro dal 2002.  In questo post vediamo come sono stati personalizzati gli euro finlandesi.  Nella foto sopra la faccia principale,  uguale per tutti i Paesi;  nella foto qui sotto,  il rovescio delle monete.  Come si vede,  su tutti i tagli minori appare l’emblema statale:  un leone che brandisce una spada,  mentre ne ha un’altra sotto le zampe.  Solo i tagli da 1 e 2 euro sono diversi.

Come qualcuno di voi ricordera’,  da subito la Finlandia ha eliminato dalla circolazione le monetine da 1 e 2 centesimi;  le casse arrotondano automaticamente i prezzi per eccesso o per difetto.

Single European currency.    

Finland is a member of the EU since 1994 and of the Euro area since 2002.  In this post I will share with you the aspect of the various Finnish euro coins.  In the first photo the upper side,  which is the same for all countries;  in the second photo the lower side.  As you can see,  only the bigger coins are different.  On the smaller coins we have the emblem of the Finnish state:  a lion with a sword in its hands and another under its feet.

As somebody may remember,  the one and two euro cent coins are not circulating in Finland;  prices are automatically rounded up or down at the cash.

On the one euro coin we have a couple of flying whooper swans (national birds) and on the two euro coin there are the leaves and fruits of arctic cloudberries.  ( If you do not remember how arctic cloudberries look like,  you can read my post HERE ).

  3. Many years ago when we spend a holiday in the far north of Finland, we stopped at a tiny restaurant along a quiet road somewhere. It was a beautiful and sunny day in the end of August or maybe early September, trees were colouring. While we waited they baked us a couple of pancakes and served them with cloudberry marmelade. It was the most delicious thing we had that holiday!

  17. Che simpatiche! Adoro guardare le monete X sapere da quale stato arrivano! Mi piace vedere che siano diverse dalle nostre! Qui i centesimi non li aboliranno mai e delle volte va bene, ma quando inizi ad avere il portamonete che pesa più dell’intera borsa un dubbio ti viene! Però poi alle somme, non compri neppure un caffè!
