I trulli pugliesi,  le antiche costruzioni caratteristiche di Alberobello e disseminate nelle campagne della Valle d’Itria,  non hanno bisogno di presentazioni.  In questo post ho voluto concentrarmi sulle punte dei tetti dei singoli trulli,  invariabilmente coniche e terminanti in un pinnacolo,  personalizzato in varie forme dalla famiglia proprietaria.  Le forme dei pinnacoli sono riconducibili a simboli esoterici antichissimi (il culto del sole) o religiosi (la croce) o perfino a figure antropomorfe.

Per visitare la Puglia e Alberobello,  secondo me la stagione più adatta è proprio questa:  la primavera,  fino a giugno;  oppure la fine estate.

Pinnacles of the “trulli”.        The trulli are worldwide famous:  they are small buildings,  also dwelling places,  dating back to the  XVII century,  typical of the countryside in south Apulia and of the town of Alberobello in particular.  In this post I would like to share with you some images of the pinnacles on top of the trulli roofs:  each one is different,  personalized by the owners.  It is argued that the shapes of the pinnacles refer to ancient esoteric symbols (the cult of the god Sun) or religious (the cross) or again anthropomorphous shapes.

The best season to visit Apulia is spring,  until June;  or,  alternatively,  end of summer.  In full summer the climate may be too hot.

  11. Le tue foto sono molto belle e rendono bene la luminosità che è proprio tipica di quella zona in primavera , inizio estate ( ci sono stata in vacanza parecchi anni fa)

  27. Everyone seems to agree: great photos! Apulia is an area I’ve always wanted to see because of its beautiful and mysterious Castel del Monte. I see now that it’s not the only architectural marvel of the region.
