Sciata in rosa.

In inverno,  quando la temperatura scende per benino,  tutti i laghi della Finlandia ghiacciano;  si crea cosi’ la possibilita’ di trasformarli in piste di pattinaggio o circuiti di sci nordico,  appena ci nevica sopra un po’.  A Somero abbiamo la fortuna di avere un lago piuttosto grande,  che i volontari dello sci club locale tengono battuto proprio come facciamo con le piste sulle Dolomiti.  Cosi’ si pratica sport all’aria aperta in modo molto economico e se si va nel tardo pomeriggio magari si godono anche tramonti colorati,  come quello nelle foto:  tutto rosa.

Skiing en rose.       

In winter in Finland,  as soon as temperatures drop enough and lakes freeze,  it is always possible to use them as skating or skiing rings.  In Somero we have a big lake and the volunteers of the local ski club take care of it,  so that people can go and practise their favourite sports in a well organized area,  free of charge.

If you go in the late afternoon,  you may well be lucky and enjoy a colourful sunset,  maybe total pink,  as the one in my photos.

In the last photos:  my skis,  a lady’s overall and a sweet baby’s seat…haply rosy,  as the sunset.

  3. Ah, I hoped to get to see you on your skis – maybe another time? The snow becomes even more beautiful against a rosy sky!! But now we had snow on and off for two weeks, I had forgotten how much work it brings, lol!
    Can imagine that when you’re used to Italy, a Sandinavian winter is long – hope you’re doing okay with it! Many thanks for sharing it with All Seasons and have a happy week!

  10. Thank you, Jesh. The winter in the north of Italy is neither very nice, because of the humidity in the air which makes the cold sensation even colder… At least here in Finland the air is dry. Hope you are doing fine too!
