Il tema di MakroTex Challenge di questa settimana e’:  bianco. 

Svolgimento:  iniziamo con la bianca neve sempre benvenuta da queste parti,  per proteggere la Natura contro il freddo.  Il gelo infatti uccide le piante e i fiori piu’ delicati,  mentre la coltre di neve crea un certo tepore a livello del suolo,  mantenendo la temperatura vicina a 0 gradi C.

Forse gli uccellini non amano cosi’ tanto la neve bianca a e fredda,  per questo continuano imperterriti a mangiare:  devono mangiare moltissimo per sopravvivere.  In inverno il detto:  “Mangiare come un uccellino” non e’ proprio veritiero…

Ma volete mettere l’atmosfera,  quando il paesaggio e’ tutto bianco?  La neve e’ benvenuta anche perche’ rischiara le lunghe notti nordiche.  Tutto intorno sarebbe molto piu’ buio senza di lei…

E poi… il bianco si porta con tutto:  anche dentro casa un tocco di questo colore nell’arredamento e’ sempre elegante.

White inside and out.     The MakroTex Challenge topic for this week is:  white. 

Shall we start talking about the beautiful white snow outside?  Here in Finland it is always welcome in winter,  to protect nature from the cold.  Frost will kill your most delicate plants and flowers,  whereas snow will shelter their roots keeping temperature close to 0 C at ground level.

Perhaps little birds do not like snow as much;  they just carry on eating seeds to keep themselves alive:  they have to eat a lot of food to survive.  The proverb:  “Eat like a small bird” must not be taken literally,  in wintertime…

White snow makes a different atmosphere in the dark,  long,  nordic nights:  everything would be so much darker without its reflecting power.

Finally,  white matches with everything:  a touch of white will brighten up any home furnishing.
