Da alcuni anni si tiene anche sul lungolago di Garda una piccola fiera di Natale,  che hanno deliziosamente chiamato:  Natale tra gli Olivi.  Queste piante autoctone vengono usate abbondantemente come addobbi.  Quest’anno gli alunni della locale scuola elementare ne hanno decorati alcuni con materiali di riciclo.  Certo,  sono alberi di Natale non convenzionali…

Christmas Olive-trees.    

Along the lakefront of the town of Garda every year a small Christmas fair takes place.  They properly named it:  Christmas among the Olive-trees,  as these local,  native trees are commonly used as decorations.  This year I photographed some really unconventional Christmas trees:  some olive trees decorated with recycled materials by the pupils of the local primary school.

Last but not least:  a glimpse of the small harbour of Garda in the sunset.

  1. Bellissimo il lago, soprattutto con i colori che assume l’acqua fredda durante l’inverno !

  10. When we were renting a house a long time ago, there was an olive tree in the front as well as in the back. Wow, to convert those into Christmas tree, I would call creative, because they look nothing like the pine or Spruce. Love the way you highlighted the ornaments in your photos! And the sunset was a beautiful end of the day as a contrast, for you don’t see many sunsets in Finland in winter!
