Gatto nero Day.

Black Cat Day.     While I was having a walk with my friend Andreas,  this lovely cat peeped out of a private garden fence and joined us.  Can such a beautiful animal be of bad omen??  Black Cat Day:  November 17th.

This Day wants to encourage appreciation towards these animals,  persecuted through the centuries as companions of so-called witches (those poor women!).  Finnish people are not much superstitious:  they do not care if a black cat crosses the road before their car.

I will link this post to Eileen’s Saturday’s Critters.

Thanks for hosting!

  1. I love cats whatever colour. I had a black cat as a pet when I was a child called Nicky and I never thought about the superstition of him being black. Lovely photos of the black cat. Wishing you a good weekend.
