Fioriture tardive.

A fine settembre in Finlandia ho visto gli ultimissimi lupini (tipici di luglio) fioriti accanto alle spighe della stiancia, tipica invece dell’autunno. Sui fiori blu vi e’ una farfalla Vanessa dell’ortica, anche lei fra le ultimissime della stagione. (Come sempre, le foto incorniciate sono editate).

Late blooming. On a fine day at the end of September in Finland I saw these very last lupins (which are July flowers), together with the broadleaf cattail, (Typha latifolia, which is an Autumn plant). Also the small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) is probably one of the last in the season. (As always, only framed photos are edited).
